That person is out of touch with reality. We are arming ourselves because Europe has been attacked by an aggressor. Not because we decided to invest our hard-earned money in the least useful thing possible.

I see behind the romanticization of the past, perhaps too pessimistically, the principle from that known saying. "A slave does not desire freedom, a slave wants to own his slave."

I've been watching sadly from Europe for the last few years. Yes. I'd be afraid to go to the US right now. Phone checking at the airport and officials on the airport acting like in Russia? No thanks:(

I'm so glad we at least shot down some of these drones. But otherwise, we Europeans have been pretty stupid about Russia.

I admit that I am dismayed by the poor outcome of efforts to limit social networks. Perhaps the biggest problem is that, in their current form, they cause real addiction.

BTW: ..tohle je opravdu neskutečná osoba. Na Letní filmové škole se nas... do panelové diskuze s tvůrci filmu V síti a začala tam dlouze vykládat, jak na ministerstvu úředně bojují proti sexuálním predátorům. Byl problém ji utnout. Dlouho jsem neviděla tolik lidí, co tak nevěřícně zíralo.

Žiju v bytě, který za první republiky splatil na hypotéku topič v lokomotivě, původně vyučený švec. Žádné velké vzdělání, žádná nóbl práce. Jsem za to šťastná jak blecha.

Ze začátku Fialovy vlády jsem si připadala jako paranoik, když to, jak kašlou na domácí politiku vyjma obohacení obvyklých podezřelých, na mě celé působilo, že mají s Babišem holport o předání moci. Tak teď si tak moc už nepřipadám 😒

The Nazis were defeated, totally. Their atrocities perfectly documented. At least some war criminals convicted. Instead of documenting the crimes of communism, we have only estimations and a not so much amount of indisputable evidence, and unfortunately these can easily be diminished :(

I don't want to blame religion only, it's just one factor, but in the current US imho it's very strong. Added to that is greed, as @fullnooneyes10 mentions. I hope I expressed myself understandable , I'm not a native speaker :)

I have a question for Americans. How much do you think the US military is pro-Trump, pro-Bannon's ultraconservatives, or pro-techbros? If the military does not side with them when the clashes in the streets intensify, that may save you. But the number of ordinary people in the streets must increase.

I must admit that I am watching this with utter horror from Europe. This has already happened on our continent, and it ended ..you know how.
