tldr: an enjoyable game, probably more to casual DA fans or new players which was definitely fun, engaging and visually stunning however feels flat and shallow especially compared to the masterpiece that is inquisition. + it could DEFINITELY have been longer and the end fight a little harder
over all, i just expected more. after 10 years. 10 years, and the game felt rushed. our rook is suddenly there, backstory in a short paragraph and are varric's second-in-commend. why not give us a prologue to SHOW how we met varric to give new players an emotional connection to varric
that shallow, us-centric forced inclusivity so EA doesn't offent anyone. there was hardly any gray-ness. mentions of slavery but when we were walking the "slums" of the docks, we hardly saw it. we were the good guys and fought all the bad guys. of course there were quests and parts done well but
+ some very important themes (which were also important in the previous games) were just kind of there but not really implemented like religion or racism. of course they did touch on religion but it felt so shallow and that would have been so much more "controversial" than +

the negative:
as a dragon age fan that played DAI 10 years ago, i am somewhat disappointed and find a lot of thing executed in a lackluster way.
for one: the relationships. not just our romance, but the friendships + the companions bonds with each other. way too much was established off screen +

the positives: i loved the visiuals and movies, as well as the regions you were able to explore. the game play was fun to me and the story did keep me engaged. i also liked the resolution. i wouldn't have played through it, if i didn't enjoy it at all
