I will say, though, that I’d always sensed a certain glint in Ned’s eyes and a special kinship between him and Claire in OL, so who know, the writers may take advantage of that in developing his back story retroactively for BoMB.

If there was to be only one season of BoMB, I’d have had the exact same puzzlement, and still kind of do. I’d even extend it to Murtagh not connecting the dots! For better or worse, we’re getting a second season, so I’m hoping — perhaps naively — that there’s an explanation in the making.

Dare I admit I checked her midsection as soon as she appeared on screen because of what I fear(ed) they might do to her and JuliaHenry’s storyline… 😶

He likely would. That’s why I wonder if and how they’ll tie in Ned’s storyline and his knowledge of the Beauchamps in BoMB to OL.

I cannot imagine if Ned ends up being the reason Julia and Henry are reunited… and what he must have felt meeting Claire for the first time all those years later.

This is all I thought about towards the end of the episode. 🥹

The premise of love and loss lured me in, but I admit I struggled with this book. The main characters—also the narrators of the story—were too self-absorbed and not really likable, and despite some beautifully emotional lines scattered throughout, the prose felt either stilted or broody in parts.

THIS. It makes my blood boil every time I see people use ‘research’ or ‘researcher’ in a serious context while in reality they simply mean scouring the interwebs. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Working from a café and R.E.M.’s ‘It’s the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)’ just came on and if this isn’t a perfect description of what’s going on all around us, I don’t know what is.

(The ‘I feel fine’ part is up for debate.)

I’m not sure if people wouldn’t have gone to another account — this fandom generally loves following any OL-adjacent content — but they obviously banked on an existing base. The difference in engagement between OL and BoMB posts is striking, though, which you’d have hoped would tell them something.

Dare I say they’ve all but forgotten why we’re here and have remained here (yes, even through BoMB)… IMO, they should have created a separate account for the new show and cast. 🤷🏻‍♀️
