I've been doing digital for over 13 yes at this point and I've had to deal with the comments about it 'not being real art' for that entire time... the rise of gen ai has just made this worse BUT despite all that I will continue to do digital and love digital as a medium <3
that is all rant over lol

+ photographers + animators + any other kind of creative that works with computers
like these are SKILLS that require effort & work & (crucially) passion so it feels v dismissive to tell us to 'just go and make something traditionally'
