I live in the most Western European liberal atheist country and people still look uncomfortable if I say that marriage and children aren’t a necessity for a good life (they are valid things to strive for still and I want parents to have good access to kindergartens and child support etc)

I’ve never seen the 90s movie (just the Kubrick one)
I love the book though and it encompasses everything I enjoy about nuances of “dead dove content”
The pop culture (movies and their Lana tumblr legacy) around it is easily misunderstood though in the current climate. I would understand it tho <3
