Yesterday, just a few hours before my life-altering surgery I got the call that my surgery would have to be postponed.

I have a secret weapon, an advantage I didn't have 10 years ago. I already learned what it means to be a survivor, how to go through the worst in life and pick yourself back up, and I have done it more in the last 12 years than many experience in a lifetime.

It is so terrible to feel dismissed by "specialists" I felt this way for years. i am lucky I was able to get into the Mayo clinic system. The florida clinic has an EDS specialist that does virtual consultations (a long waitlist) but worth a try, you can send in your own records- that's what I did ❤️‍🩹

Thank you!! It feel like at least I am taking some control of my quality of life. So much is out of our hands but this choice while hard makes me feel empowered!

This week has put me on the struggle bus mentally, emotionally, and physically. If you need to hop on you are welcome we have heating pads and cozy blankets for everyone!!

Congrats! I think only another spoonie can understand why surgery can actually be a relief. I get a permanent ostomy Feb 20 and I can't wait to be rid of the pain I am currently in. ❤️‍🩹

Folks… it’s just going to continue, especially early. They want us to see headline after headline. They want us to feel crippled under the weight of their power. They want to snuff out any hint of push back. So right now it’s just a matter of taking the wave and preparing to reapply pressure.

My ADHD gremlins like to make me believe that a new notebook will fix anything and that I must keep them all "just in case!"

I like to try and pick a soundtrack so it is more than one song and it takes me longer to wear it out. Currently it's the Mean Girls musical

ADHd meds gave me the ability to make a meal plan for the week and buy groceries

Did not give me the ability to use that plan before I forgot the food was there it expired and I had to throw it out and eat cereal!

One of the hardest thing I have ever done was to step away from work I loved because of my health. But it just might save my life. I can always go back to work...

In a chronic illness flare that has me feeling terrible and nauseous. But seems like that's kind of the vibe today anyway, thanks for joining me!

I use crafting as a way to feel accomplished when I am too sick to do anything else, totally get this!!
