Give me six and they’ll reinvent prejudice. Give me seven and in seven years they’ll reinvent warfare. Contributor copies have arrived of THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT: STORIES FROM STEPHEN KING’S THE STAND.

Thank you Stephen King, and to the editors Brian Keene and Christopher Golden.

Available August 19th and it includes my short story “Milagros,” where I take The Stand to Puerto Rico.

I will be at Bucket O Blood Books in Chicago on the 19th, in conversation with the delightful booksellers about the book, Stephen King and signing copies.

Disney Plus cancelled Goosebumps after two seasons. Can't say I'm surprised. I liked some of the first season, the second season was a lot rougher. The show always felt like it could've been a ton better. The 90s show had the formula right. Every episode should be different not every season.

“You’ll never be Superman. Because you have no idea what it means to be Superman.

“It’s not about where you were born. Or what powers you have. Or what you wear on your chest.

“It’s about what you DO. It’s about action.”

Brilliant Geoff Johns speech that sums it all up

Indie World Showcase today was OK. I liked the look of Mina, the Switch 2 underwater game, and a few others. Nothing special going on. It didn't even have a "one more thing!" But at least we get a Mina demo today.

Here's a lovely photo of a plethora of hand-sewn fabric art creatures. There's a watermelon creature with a red face, eight black seed-like eyes, and a wide mouth with five sharp teeth. There's a white ghost trinket bag covered with purple embroidered flowers. She has a gray face, sparkly black eyes and a little frown. There's a strawberry creature with three bulbous green eyes. There's a watermelon ghost, and a black creature with sharp teeth wearing a bulbous eye earring. There's a large purple creature with many yellow eyes and an open mouth, with a little green creature popping her head out. All the creatures are sitting on green fur and there's a galaxy print fabric in the background.

I loved Angel Down by @danielkraus.com. One of the best books I've read this year. If not the best. Its one of a kind. Super intense and so well written. Its going to blow your mind! Also: I really want to read Whalefall when I get a chance. It sounds very good!

I don't trust anyone who doesn't dream of pulling a loose book from a bookshelf and finding that it opens a secret door.

One of the great moments of pride / relief / gratitude I feel as a writer is when I send a draft to an expert (ex: a WWI expert for ANGEL DOWN, a scuba expert for WHALEFALL) and they respond like I did magic. There *is* magic in all this & through hard work, I sometimes get to be the magician. 💜

But yeah, there should be a second season of The Book of Boba Fett. Just have some time passed and his empire fell apart and now he's out for revenge. Going out, taking names and kicking butt. Book of Boba Fett needs to be an action show. Even more than Mando. Give the people what they want!
