Exploring interdisciplinarity β raising self-awareness through a comprehensive research assessment - MetaROR
For the University of Helsinki's comprehensive research assessment, researchers designed a dedicated module to capture interdisciplinarity.
Reviewers called their approach "inspiring" and did not identify major weaknesses, but do provide recommendations.

We need to move beyond the accept/reject binary in peer review - LSE Impact
Binary reject/accept peer review has become conflated with validation. The authors outline three myths sustaining this confusion and how we might escape it.
πICYMI: "Binary decisions are inevitable, in the choice to read, cite, or disregard something, but they are not fit as proxies for scientific validity"

Welcome! You are invited to join a webinar: Elevating your Researchβs Impact and Visibility with ORCID and DataCite. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email about joining the webinar.
Persistent identifiers (PIDs) play a key role in making research outputs visible, connected, and reusable across systems. ORCID and DataCite offer complementary solutions that, when used together, help researchers, institutions, and infrastructure providers improve attribution, tracking, and trust in the research ecosystem.
This hands-on webinar provides a practical introduction to integrating ORCID and DataCite workflows. It focuses on two established integration methods: the ORCID Search & Link wizard and ORCID Auto-Update. Participants will learn how these tools work, what problems they solve, and how they can be implemented to automatically connect researchers with their research outputs, reduce manual effort, and improve metadata quality.
The session is designed for researchers, DataCite and ORCID members, repository managers, research support staff, and anyone involved in managing or integrating persistent identifiers.
Slides and recordings will be shared after the webinar via the DataCite Zenodo Community and the DataCite YouTube channel. Please complete the registration form to attend.
πJoin ORCID's @pmarrai.bsky.social for a webinar with @datacite.org in support of Love Data Week!
β° Learn how to link and track research outputs and activities to save time and elevate impact.
π ORCID iDs + DataCite DOIs work together to make this possible. #LoveData26

New piece by @georgealfredcurrie.bsky.social and me about the problems with equating journal acceptance with scientific validity. This is what we're trying to challenge at eLife, but many disagree. Is it because of opposition to the arguments, or entrenched culture?
