I feel the same way. Her performance was stellar. Bale was very good as well. I liked it a lot. It was a wild and fun ride.
I genuinely enjoyed this film. I would watch it again (and again). The dark world it creates is compelling- horrible and fun. Jessie Buckley’s performance is breathtaking enough to smooth over any bumps in the dialogue- she sells it completely. Yes, I wanted to like it - I wasn’t disappointed.
