Dolphrens. I'll take the company of dolphins over people any day. This pod of dolphins hung around the clear boat for almost 2 hours yesterday. They would venture off every so often to catch a fish & then come back.

A lone manatee swimming through a school of sharks in St Pete, Florida. Although these sharks are all sort of small, even large sharks and alligators move out of the way for a manatee. It's that mafia boss attitude.

Sometimes it kills them, sometimes it stuns them, and sometimes it just disorients them long enough for the dolphin to grab them. On the positive side, they get to fly like a bird for a moment.
2 Very different feeding behaviors used by dolphins in the Tampa / St Pete, Florida area. Both of these feeding techniques have a few different variations.

Have been researching & documenting both for many decades. I'm confident the dolphin was Not being playful. I've seen & filmed a few playful interactions between the two species, and a few where the dolphins were just being jerks, this was relatively mild.
Another manatee swimming through a large group of Cownose Rays in St Pete, Florida. As large as this group of rays (aka fever) is that shows up in the winter, some of the groups in summer are bigger, and are larger than the Mobula Ray migrations in Baja.

Sharks stalking a school of fish in shallow water in St Pete, Florida a few days ago. Most of the sharks were black tips, spinner sharks, and bull sharks.

People at the beach reacting to a dolphin chasing a school of mullet that were swimming through the people. I'm don't even know where to begin, I'm just going to leave the commentary to you :-)

A Spinner Shark, spinning. St Pete, Florida. This is how Spinner Sharks hunt. They rush up from below to ambush their prey, sometimes dramatically breaching the surface.

A BIG group of manatees gathered on a sandbar yesterday in St Petersburg, Florida. The water was about 3-7 feet deep. Todays warmer weather will cause them to move to a different spot that is slightly deeper.

Summer Rays... A massive group of rays (aka fever). This is the summer Cownose Ray migration near Clearwater, FL. Many people claim the largest ray migration is the Mobula Rays, but this is obviously bigger. youtu.be/5lMz-x4u2pQ

Winter Rays... Huge group of rays and some manatees in Tampa Bay, Florida. As large as the winter gathering is, it's not nearly as large as the summer Cownose Ray migration. I'll share some footage of that next.

A dolphin takes a moment to check out a manatee. I thought the dolphin was being a little rude bit it went on its way after a minute of blocking the manatee's path.

Manatee swims through a sea of rays in #Tampa Bay in #Florida. I've waited over 6 years for the opportunity to capture this shot. The water was unusually clear, no wind, no clouds & the rays were densely packed together.

Most Floridians will tell you it's because they "love" people. Fact is, they're simply very curious animals. They will swim up to a stick or a piece of trash to check it out just as quickly as they will go up to a human. :-)
Guy relaxing in the gulf takes forever to notice the manatee that swam up behind him. This guy looked like he was either lost in his thoughts or peeing in the water, either way his reaction was priceless.

Cool shots of dolphins mud ring feeding with mullet jumping everywhere. This hunting technique and fish kicking can be seen throughout the Tampa Bay area. The full, high resolution video is on my youtube channel.

they did the same thing when manatees would swim through them and when a dolphin would swim through they were even more panicked. Do you have much experience with Cownose Rays because I've been researching, documenting and filming this specific group for 12+ years, and other groups for 30+ years.
I was literally doing 2 mph. The rays weren't panicking AT ALL. I've been respectfully filming & documenting this specific group of rays for 12+ years. The drone is super quiet. MY opinion is ur judging & overly dramatic & don't have any facts or know what ur talking about.
yes, they are getting ready to migrate :-)
Epic. Surreal. And Awesome. Passing through a huge group of Cownose Rays in a clear boat in Tampa Bay, Florida. This was taken a few days ago. The gathering only lasts for 3 days.

when I was filming it I thought it might be another stingray. It wasn't until I got home and looked at it on a larger screen that I realized it was just a palm tree branch.
that's a tracking device :-)
No. And I've spent quite a few hours over the last couple weeks watching it and hoping to get a shot of it using its weapon. I haven't got that shot yet, but I may still get lucky.

Just seeing this critically endangered sawfish in the first place was awesome enough for me. Watching it stalk a school of fish and then bury itself in the sand like a stingray really took it to another level though.

Absolutely Massive group of rays off the coast of Clearwater, Florida. I took this video this past summer. After speaking with researchers and other people I'm confident in saying this is the largest group of rays ever filmed.

I think they are mostly bull sharks.
Dozens of sharks filmed on a shallow sandbar in #Tampa Bay today. The water was super calm which made for great filming. People often ask me if I see sharks when I'm on the water. It's unusual if I don't see at least one or two #sharks every time I go out.
