Well, apparently asking around and sending another mail helped. They managed to get back to me and apologized while finally sending the invoice. Now I can finally confirm my attendance at Dokomi!

I'm mainly worried because last year, I got the invoice on the same day as the confirmation mail. And I don't want to suddenly lose my booth because I didn't pay an invoice I never received.

I've got a question for some of my fellow artists that are boothing at Dokomi this year.

I got my confirmation mail well over a week ago, but I'm still waiting for the invoice, even after sending a mail about it.

Did any of you receive your invoice yet or are you also still waiting?

Having recovered from a multi-year art block, I can say that the main thing that worked for me is just doing loose sketching without any expectation or requirement. And then if you stumble on a sketch you do like, see if you can take it further, bit by bit.

Absolutely. I actually used to think that AI could have been used in ways to help artists in many ways, as long as it was used and developed ethically... But with each new development, I simply cannot maintain that outlook.

And yes, I posted this because I just caught one myself.

PSA for my fellow artists: Always have a look at the people that follow you. AI bros wear that badge proudly on their sleeve, so stay alert if they try to sneak into your followers.

A skimpy shinobi version of Noelther, inspired by the Senran Kagura series. Her outfit is a skimpier, mesh version of her usual dress outfit. She uses a staff with a lantern attached to it, and has a purple fire hamster spirit accompanying her.
