Also, I feel like I put the brakes hard on fanarts since I started to explore again my creativity (frankly, it’s wild how many different medium I touched compared to when I was in art school learning to draw).
It’s not a bad thing… but on the other end, i know it’s easier to get seen with fanarts.

Still wouldn’t be comfortable posting my own stuff. Ever since AI blew up, I just don’t know exactly how to make myself seen on the internet (the way algorithms work is bad enough). I want to protect my stuff but it seems near impossible to do.

And I also use Instagram more. Not posting but liking art and animal related things.
But there’s a reason I wasn’t on Insta before and it’s that i couldn’t make sense of it. Even now, I think it’s lame you can’t check others’ favorites. I guess it’s all about the algorithm now. Sigh…

It’s been 2 weeks or so but I officially uninstalled Xitter.
My iPad’s storage was full and well… the choice was made. At last.

That’s also why the franchise has so many canon AUs (on top of sci-fi easily allowing AU stories).

Nowadays, shows tend to be done differently. Shorter, higher budget, more « planned »… not that this new format hasn’t issues too (best would be a middle ground I guess).

Ok, one more thing to add to Jack/Teal’c : Teal’c actually understood Jack’s feelings in a way Daniel didn’t. I feel like Teal’c made for a better confident and that’s something notable.

In « short » :

As for Daniel/Teal’c… I think it’s probably the least compelling duo in the show (it’s just… kinda there… with possibly mixed feelings on Daniel’s part because of what happened to his wife), so I wouldn’t even be able to imagine a romance there.
Jack/Teal’c is much better… but I never shipped it.

While we’re at it, I never understood Sam/Daniel. Yes, they get along well and care for each others. But I never got ANY romantic vibes there. Which is funny because Sam only said « I love you » to… Daniel. Yet it’s so completely platonic I’m 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Also, the fandom was so loud about not wanting romance in the team when it was about SJ… I think it’s kinda worse if the team actually becomes a love triangle/quatuor.

In context, I can understand it… but I find it sad and unfair for Teal’c because Sam was obviously lonely and grieving another life and man… and in the end, he’s the only one who experienced and remembered this.

Lastly, my opinion on Sam/Teal’c. I never saw it as a possibility until the actors said they kinda played around with the idea in Unending (a final episode that completely cast Jack aside btw… not cool). I thought they were firmly in the « protective big bro/little sister » camp.

— and if the whole thing had been more honest (if JD was superior and SJ so bad, then go for JD from the start gosh… or at least don’t start canon het romances that « means nothing »… it’s rude and painful for all fans).

Maybe i would have felt differently if I never got SO attached to SJ, if the fandom (and TPTB) hadn’t been so mean (it used to be real bad) —

I could never stan Jack/Daniel for a couple of reasons. I get it… but the ship pisses me off (way too often, it’s mentioned as a way to shit on SJ and at times, on Sam, because « ew girls are icky and boring »).

Also, Jack killed a literal nazi once (and the show treated it as a potential issue because he made that radical decision on his own… possibly for the fans to debate on death penalty… but nowadays, considering what’s happening, it gets harder to blame Jack).

Jack would be absolutely disgusted by trump. Kinsey was trump-lite. Anyone who says anything different is not paying attention to the TV show, or current events.

Yeah but I mean… I can’t see it ? Not when Jack wanted to deck THE conservative asshole politician of the show anytime he saw him.
Jack is an anti hero. He did things he’s not proud of alright, but the fact he isn’t proud of them says a lot.

Procrastinating art is *fun*. It’s for an exhibit. There’s this one picture I have in my head but am so afraid to screw up.
First I procrastinated the act of painting, but now I WANT to paint … a lot… except not the thing I intend to display.

Oh wait, Stargate SG-1, probably the most insulting finale I've ever seen with some of the worst writing decisions I've come across in terms of how to end a show.

I have to agree. It's one of the very few eps I never watch.

No-one had a meaty character arc while stuck on that ship, and nothing they gained or learnt seemed earned.

It was sad and disheartening, and all came to nothing in the end anyway.

Also, I lost contact with my psychologist for months now. She was busy, I was busy, we kept missing each others…
I had group talks and sophrology to keep me going but… yeah…

For context, I’m on a long road to recovery from (generalized + social) anxiety/depression (and I guess untreated and undiagnosed ADHD I never got under control).
I was feeling « better » lately, but I think I may have tried to put the bad on ignore because I’m TIRED of it and blindly push forward.
