I do art when I feel like it. I want to get back into editing for my YouTube channel, Grinner_J.

"Grinner History" is what I've called this canvas that I'm drawing a bunch of my character related shit on. I will likely extend it downwards to draw more and post an updated version sometime.

Been a minute. I've uploaded a whopping two videos since posting here and I am back to post more art I guess

A random video I took of this little bug dude crawling around on my finger while I was drawing or something (yes, clear as day, I was a nail biter). I had posted this to my twitter back then.

The music is, "Johnny Bravo" by Bobbing.

For there to NEVER be a gray area in someone's mind is not a good thing. There's no objectivity in that. It becomes, "If you don't agree with this exact line of thought I have, then you're against me." The all-too-common "otherism." You're not of my way of thinking? Then I'll hear nothing from you.

I love the track used for the intro, "just a little longer / BASS REEVES CAN'T DIE." Along with the visuals and dialogue, it had me tearing up. It's something so beautiful in its beginning, and that slow transition to the latter, bad-ass half is amazing. Thank you so much for what you made.

I will always realize just how small I draw on my doodle pages when I upload them to sites that automatically scale them up for viewing. I can remedy this by simply drawing bigger!

Before you is a sight of pure beauty. Let it grace your eyes and mind, poor sinner, for you may never see anything quite like it again.

I drew these random fellas some months ago, and a few weeks ago came back to draw them once more.

EVEN MORE random doodles, from just a couple years ago.

Funny note: Yes, there is a noticeable dip in image quality between many of my doodles. That's because they are sometimes small doodles done on one digital canvas that I then screenshot using the snipping tool (fun fact: the shortcut for this is Windows Key + Left Shift + S, you're welcome).

Yes, the "Grinner," concept started out as this weird, disembodied face that I had drawn in high school on a sticky note one day during a lunch break. But it transformed into something greater, an animated series that I formed in my head after listening to this band called "Feed Me Jack," and from then on the concept kept growing. The series, that's still something only in my head and not put down on paper, is something heavily inspired by music. It's not something I will explain in full here, but it does involve two different species that I can talk about:

"Specters," (which I have mistakenly and constantly passed off as being "Grinners") are these pitch-black, teeth-masked creatures that suddenly come about on Earth and kill every human being. Spawned in caves worldwide by the thousands, strength and speed to rival the average man, barbaric in their attacks, their claws sharp as finely forged blades, and a sole purpose given to their existence to kill anything they see regardless of their own mortality, as if that's something they would be able to comprehend anyway.

The "Grinners," are a select few humans who died during said extinction and have been mysteriously reincarnated many years after the event, re-inhabiting a now desolate world, save for the many Specters still roaming about. Dawning the same "grinning" feature of the Specter, along with enhanced physical capabilities and then some. That's all I'm willing to talk about regarding these characters, or rather species.

Sometimes I've used the "Specter" character as a means of portraying there being another, darker side to someone, or as my own personal demon that I'll draw beside me. (How edgy of me!)

Post image Absolutely unrelated to anything prior, but you will notice I like drawing funny little faces sometimes.

This just in, local maggot discovers the ALT text that he can put on images with 2000 characters at his disposal for each. Do click on those to learn more if I put those on there I guess.

I'll post some random doodles I did a few years ago. My style wasn't, and still isn't, 100% consistent, which I've always been fine with.

In the far future (where I actually start to seriously pursue my passions) I want to create a few of my own animated mini series. Separate from the Grinner stuff, I made these creatures called Waddlers. I don't have too many of these old drawings of the things but I like them. Should draw them more.

The first digital drawing I've ever done, and the first drawing of a "grinner" that wasn't just a disembodied face on a post-it note. On a totally 100% legally acquired Paint Tool SAI, done with a mouse because I had no tablet at the time.
