My fiancée and I rewatched this and the original for Summerween and I love the “Think Julie; Will Benson… Ben’s son!!!” reveal, Matthew Settle looked like he was having so much fun saying that. That and the grin as he says “it’s not *my* blood…” to Julie.

I’d prefer it if they were in print but hell, I still can’t believe my AnimEigo DVD’s of Macross exist. I’d love it if someone, the day after Sony cancels the live action film that’ll never happen, walks up to HG and says I’ll take the whole thing off your hands for X amount. Easy peasy.

I hate to engage in “but you see…“, however when one of my friends says “there’s no need for fan subbing anymore“ I always point to situations like this. I think they’re playing into the Christopher Reeve angle and, personally, I’d prefer that Superman Returns get its own standalone version as that film has aged badly (and I say that as someone who sat through Quest For Peace in the cinema back in the day), both in terms of CG and legacy.
