aside from the filling being a little too thick (the streusel probably drew some moisture out), it's perfect.

A few years ago, husband and I invented an ice cream together. This year, I tried those flavors as a pie: pineapple, peach, rum, butter, brown sugar, cayenne pepper, with a streusel topping.

A photo I took in 2015 of a statue at the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Hypocenter Monument. Mere feet from here, the bomb dropped on Nagasaki 80 years ago. The statue is of a grieving woman, holding a young child, who appears to have passed away.

It's 80 years now since the bomb fell on Nagasaki, Japan. My beloved Nagasaki. My wife's home town. My once (six years) and future (once events allow us to move) home. 長崎❤️

Here is a particularly moving statue that's located at the Hypocenter Monument.
