DCA staffing on Wednesday was reportedly not normal β with one air traffic controller handling the job of two people.
These shortages will only be worsened by federal budget cuts and Trump's hiring freeze.
We should be investing in public workers, not attacking them.
Trump's spending freeze was unconstitutional and a violation of the Impoundment Control Act.
But the public uproar yesterday should serve as a reminder that Trump's plans to gut federal programs are deeply unpopular.

Smol tip from an elected. As a general rule we do not like to be on the wrong side of our constituents. Some are absolutely so removed that calls never filter up to them, but the vast majority of even the top level do pay attention when their staff are getting buried in angry calls. It works.
