We will have to see how things unfold, but my legal counsel believes that all marriages that legally occurred cannot be undone. However, rights and benefits related to tax, inheritance, social security, medical proxy, adoption, banking, mortgage/housing, etc. could very well be threatened.

And so it begins. We could very well see the end of the nationwide legality and recognition of same-sex marriage (and it’s associated legal benefits) just prior to the tenth-year anniversary of the Obergefell v. Hodges ruling that made it all possible.
