Good. And we should make every government contract have to prove they have an enforced DEI policy as part of the bidding process. That way all the US cowards will be out of the running. No DEI? No NHS.

As a young man, I fell in love with the US. The country’s soul is still there, despite Trump’s best efforts to destroy it | John Harris For many of us, the United States means music, progress, hope. Whatever their president does, plenty of Americans continue to believe in those too, says Guardian columnist John Harris

Message from Evri- “we’ve got your parcel” - has the air of a ransom note. Which - as it’s Evri - is rather apt.

Not really sure we can get back from a world where random blokes in Wisconsin or Wigan - or presidents and politicians who couldn't pick Le Pen out of a line-up - can confidently dismiss an 11-year investigation by the EU & French justice system - because the woke.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but “I was only following orders” was rejected as a defense at the Nuremberg Trials.

Shouldn’t that post have a TL;DR at the top? Cos I don’t think I have enough hours left to waste on blocks of text like that.

Who was it who said “the more I see of people the more I appreciate dogs”? They were right, whoever they were.

Three dogs lounging on a Saturday afternoon

Yesterday we dog sat for two beauties, watched a Dr Who Marathon, caught up on the latest Reacher and had - all round - a #VeryGoodDay

Honestly, I still have a box of unsued Epson ink which costs about sixty quid a time. My brand new HP printer cost less than forty. It'll save me money if I throw it away after two lots of ink and buy a new one. (I wont, just in case Greta is reading this).

Honestly, I hated binning it but it had become the source of more anxiety than America, so 🤷‍♂️

Honestly, the ex printer was so ancient it could handle cuneiform.
Honestly, the ex printer was so ancient it said Gutenberg on the side.
Honestly, the ex printer was so ancient the instruction manual was written by Chaucer.

(*Take your pick).

Also, some eyebrows may have been threaded.

Me. In my office. Failing to show off my new haircut cos I can’t take a selfie for 💩.

Had a haircut yesterday. Installed a new printer (so I’m basically Einstein innit) and - thanks to a conversation with @dvbishop.com - spent a lovely evening rediscovering the later works of @alisonmoyet.bsky.social. It was a very good day.
