Joe & the diner always have good scripts, but I have to credit my exposure to the phrase from a 20+ year old The West Wing episode (also known for outstanding scriptwriting).

I that’s the extent of the investigation. Case closed. No need to check into the shooter’s background or motivation, they’ve already created one that fits their goals.

As an IT person, I don’t think any show could be more migraine-inducing than CSI: Cyber.

NCIS has geography problems too. One episode had them take a several hour plane trip to a city 1 hour away by car. I know DC traffic can be bad, but c’mon.

The kind of croooked-ass administration - one that takes multi-million dollar bribes from media outlets, tech companies, and accepts planes in lieu of cash - that sees a guy willing to take a $50K bribe as someone that works for cheap. A bargain of a low-wage toady.
