This might be an unpopular opinion but what this baby seal is doing is very special to me, personally.

Getting out of bed in my cold apartment this morning I had the thought "my pajama pants just aren't cutting it; I wish there were, like, a sweatshirt for my legs..."

It took a full 30sec - at least - before the rest of my brain kicked in & remembered sweatpants exist

I feel like I say this every year but I really need people to hear it. Halloween is the best American holiday. Just kids outside welcomed into their world, marching around together, showing off their costumes to the elderly, parents meeting parents, neighbors catching up with neighbors.

Today in "being poor is expensive": our washer is broken & the apartment is taking forever to replace it (its a Whole Thing™️) so we had to haul it all to the laundromat & y'all. It cost *$60* - & dryers are free at the place we went! No idea how folks worse off than us manage that on the regular...

On one hand, every joint in my legs hurts. On the other hand, this is because I walked a couple miles of hilly zoo today so... worth it.

(My complaints still stand, but at least we found some!)

Not to mention, ban ‘cashless’ brick and mortar stores. Not everyone has tap-to-pay and last I checked, physical money is still LEGAL TENDER and businesses should have no grounds to reject customers paying with hard cash.
