Looking at my previous post I see need to update on the circle of writing: I get to chat on Texas Public Radio about SOAKED next month. And a good friend in the film industry is eyeing one of my short stories to create around. We’re all on one big merry-go-round.

Really liked this collection of connected stories by @tobyleblancauthor.bsky.social Because we're labelmates, I can't review it for #100smallpress, but it deserves recognition. Set in a "place where hope is for the wild and living is for the strong." A very human book set in near future Louisiana

Things like necks and hips hurt more. Hangovers are murderous. But letting things be is much easier. And standing up when it counts hurts less. Trade off of aging.

Yep. It’s official. After a third reading of “Floyd’s Girl” by Tim Gautreaux I can confirm it is one of the best Cajun tales ever written.
