Looking at it from a Canadian's perspective, one wrong turn and suddenly you’re paying for healthcare and buying a gun.

That's so sad, and nonsensical because if we are all doing better they will do better too. Fear and greed are horrible mindsets.

It's just sad the children have to suffer. I wish it was the adults.

That's a really good point! Economic stability absolutely affects a person's health and well being. We will save huge amounts of taxpayer money by having a healthy and well educated population. I say we do all the things concurrently 🙂

That's an incredibly sad world view. Everyone deserves the basics (housing, free healthcare, education, food) I'm glad that in Canada we don't debate that, it's just how our society operates. We need to do better with the housing part, and more social housing & middle income housing is being built.

We have free healthcare & education, so I guess the next step is UBI.
As a regular citizen years ago, before running for office was even floated as a possibility, Carney spoke about the future need for UBI. It's what endeared him to me and excited me when he decided to run, even though I'm NDP.

Funny, I read that differently. Bottomless need for sexual attention could be that she wanted everyone to view her as a sex object, which for a partner may be tiresome.
