11.08.2025 17:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Same - except, as well as enjoying the history, I like special places - sometimes called βthinβ places where you can feel people have gathered through the ages - church/stone circle/wherever - to celebrate/mourn/ sit quietly etc & of course the beauty of these sites/architecture.
11.08.2025 15:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I said no such thing but nice to see someone bothering to mention Gaza, because up to now it's been all about protesters supporting a proscribed organisation. Bit of info, it's possible to support Palestine without supporting PA. Plenty of people weren't arrested because they weren't supporting PA.

11.08.2025 13:18 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Dear Mr Davie, I am writing on behalf of the Co-operative Party to raise serious concerns following your organisationβs refusal to disclose information relating to the representation of Labour & Co-operative MPs across BBC platforms. In response to our Freedom of Information request (OOS2025/01201), the BBC declined to provide any data or records regarding how often MPs elected as Labour & Co-operative have been referred to as simply βLabourβ in news broadcasts, articles, or social media. In the response, you cited the journalistic exemption contained in Schedule 1, Part VI of the FOI Act. The question of how elected representatives are labelled, and whether that labelling is consistent with what appeared on the ballot paper, is not a niche editorial concern. It is a matter of democratic accuracy and institutional trust. The Co-operative Party is Britainβs fourth-largest party by number of MPs. Our elected representatives stood and were elected on a joint platform with the Labour Party. That designation is not symbolic; it is a reflection of over a century of joint working and joint mandate. While the FOI response declined to quantify these instances, the scale of omission is visible and widespread, and has been raised repeatedly by our members, elected representatives, and supporters.
We are therefore requesting the following: 1. A meeting between the Co-operative Party and relevant BBC editorial leads to discuss this issue in detail; 2. A review of current editorial guidelines and tagging policies related to joint-party designations, including how Labour & Co-operative MPs are presented; 3. Clarity on whether the BBC maintains any internal data or monitoring procedures that cover this form of political identification. We look forward to working with you to address this matter. Yours sincerely, Joe Fortune General Secretary Co-operative Party
π¨ NEW: The Co-operative Party is Britainβs fourth-largest party in Parliament.
But in BBC output, our representatives are often labelled simply as βLabourβ.
We asked how often this happens, but the BBC refused to say.
Today, weβre asking for answers.
The government should be shouting this stuff out every single day.

Criminalised online ads for smuggling β New law bans social media posts promoting illegal crossings, with fines and prison time. Increased enforcement and deportations β Boosted the number of removals and expanded the enforcement workforce. Launched a βOne-in-One-outβ deal with France β Swaps small-boat arrivals for vetted asylum seekers with family links in the UK. Repealed the Rwanda deportation plan β Redirected funds into enforcement and intelligence-led policing. Introduced a new Border Security Bill β Gave security services greater powers to target people traffickers like terrorists. Cracked down on illegal working β Expanded employer checks and raised fines to Β£60,000 for violations. Tightened legal migration routes β Raised visa salary thresholds, banned new care-worker visas, and limited family migration.

Remember to say thank you to Farage, Johnson ,for economic chaos of your lives reduced standing of U.K.
A number of politicians, "news" outlets and social media influencers have been actively trying to promote violent protest and an assault on law and order.
We shouldn't be complacent - they'll keep pouring petrol & lighting matches - but so far they have singularly failed.
That's a good news story.

If this madness does not end, Gaza will be reduced to ruins, its peopleβs voices silenced, their faces erased β and history will remember you as silent witnesses to a genocide you chose not to stop.
