I am shocked to learn this is actually underestimating costs, because it ignores the infrastructure costs.

This video is lowballing it.

Important lessons learned: if you don't think about something, it can't hurt you!

Panel 1: A book- the title reads ATLAS OSIRIANI.
Venice: It's symbolic, filling in a specific for a general whole. For example, when I say 'bird', what type of bird do you picture in your mind?

Panel 2: Four people around a table, a short black dwarf (Draki), a small grey fetchling (Bailey), a normal white human (John), and an olive-skinned tiefling, Venice.

Panel 3: Bailey: A crow.
An image of Bailey, casually gesturing to an imagined crow in the background.

Panel 4: Venice: Well, I think of an albatross.
Bailey: WHAT?
Venice, gesturing to an imagined Albatross in the background. Panel 1: Bailey: That's so specific...
John: I think of a red-capped sparrow.
Bailey: Huh?
John cleans his glasses, Bailey looks at him in shock.

Panel 2: John: It's the most common bird in Kintargo.
John puts his glasses on, as a common red-capped sparrow appears in the background.

Panel 3: Draki, what do you think about?
Draki pinches her nose, either annoyed or trying her best to think.

Panel 4: Draki: I don't... think about birds.
Draki shrugs, behind her is a large NO sign that just reads BIRDLESS.

A goofy conversation that mostly happened in one of our early sessions that I haven't stopped thinking about.

trolley problem diagram, with Sisyhpus pushing his boulder as the trolley car, and text that reads:

Sisyphus is rolling a boluder towards the Grand Hilbert Hotel. The hotel has an infinite number of rooms, but they are all full, so they may not be able to accomodate him or his boulder.

If you choose to divert him, his boulder will destroy the Ship of Theseus. But the ship has had all of its constituent parts replaced, so it may not actually be the same ship.

Is Sisyphus happy?

a question for the ages, really.

Bring Down the Stars Battle gods and fight for your life in this portal invasion survival game, inspired by works such as Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint and Solo Leveling. Based on the Godkiller system.

To be a bit vulnerable on main, this feels like a horrible time to be doing self promotion. Everything hurts and I can't bring myself to do the hype cycle thing. But I genuinely and sincerely want to keep making cathartic and joyful art, so please consider supporting that.

Definitely for that reason, and not so they can martyr themselves for a better future the moment you turn your back.

I have never had someone else voice my thoughts so perfectly when it comes to people's strange takes on art, work, & being in the ttrpg space. I'm out here doing my best and other people who create something better aren't my "competitors", they're my colleagues. I'm here to create, to do, to be me.

this question really bit me and instead of being normal i thought about it all week. but, to actually answer: yeah, there are ruins, even beyond the entirety of this single city. a lot of them are in much worse shape, having been totally razed or purged during the hundred years of crusades.

A pre-cooked rotisserie chicken from Safeway is $9.99. If I bought one every day for a year, that's $3,646.35. The average price of a house in the United States is $400,000. It would cost about 109 years of daily rotisserie chickens to buy that house.

Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

an artwork by Spindle of the character Asimov (on the left, a half-elf woman with short white hair) and Ottilie (on the right, human with brown hair tied up in a high ponytail)

Asi is wearing black pompom earrings, blue eyeliner, a maroon red sheer top (v-neck style, off shoulders) with the middle part being a mesh/net and see-through, showing a black bra underneath. She's also wearing a black belt with golden accents, a white skirt that's cut off off the centre (with a ribbon on top), black leggings, and white boots.

Ottilie is wearing a yellow scrunchie with maroon polka dot pattern, cyan eyeliner and reddish eyeshadow, and a black double necklace (on one the base of her neck and the other lower). Her top is a green v-neck with medium and wide sleeves (they have a whtie print and a dark circular pattern on them). black suspenders connect it to a dark-grey belt (connected in the middle to a large gold circlet). Beneath that is a long white skirt with a black trim on the bottom, and for footwear are simple black flats. (She also has transparent-grey arm sleeves, and holding a grey purse)

more fancy date outfits! Are you more Asi or Otti?

You know, an earring of a small Memory Bead would be really nice. Smaller beads can hold the image much better, so you can always have a "memory" with you that way in a "pearl"
