It would be nice to deport him & his family since he has done it to so many people including people who have been born in this country.

You’ve missed an important point here. There is/was nothing random about how the electorate was /is manipulated. There has been a program of misinformation propagated by ‘think tanks’ preparing the neoliberal agenda and takeover,
launched by Reagan. Read Democracy in Chains by Nancy MacLean.

Hell of a legacy you’re building there, dummy. It doesn’t matter how many times you plaster your name on buildings and ballrooms in tacky gold letters. Your grave will be one big beautiful public urinal.

DoJ cases against protesters keep collapsing as officers’ lies are exposed in court String of embarrassing defeats for prosecutors as experts condemn DoJ effort to cast people as ‘violent perpetrators’

Abolish ICE and start over. They are polluted culture of lies, violence and impunity. Rotten to the very core and HUGE WASTE OF MONEY. Tear it down and start again.

Political people love to debate who the worst modern PM in modern times was but it's unquestionably Cameron.

10 years ago this week he gambled the prosperity and fragile unity of the UK on a referendum on an issue that most people didn't even understand to placate back benchers and fucked us all.

Condemning ourselves to decline Phillip Inman’s column in the Guardian on Saturday made a familiar argument.

An article in the Guardian this weekend showed just how dangerous the household budget myth is. The UK is not precariously poor, but the myths by which the Treasury and government manage the country are dangerous, condemning us to decline. www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2026/02...

"In Chicago, of 92 people arrested for assaulting or impeding officers last fall, 74 cases have resulted in no charges; in 13 cases, charges were filed and dismissed; and five charged cases were still pending. . . there have been no convictions.

Robert Lowe’s challenge is real: Do we want a politics of care, or of hate? A commentator here drew my attention last night to a new policy paper from the Restore Britain group that has been launched by former Reform MP Robert Lowe, who now sits as an independent MP for Great...

This is probably one of the most important pieces I have ever written. Robert Lowe MP is proposing the forced expulsion of millions of people from the UK. Full-on fascism is being put before people. We have to decide. Do we want a politics of care, or of hate? www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2026/02...

Phillips "This is not a country where people get thrown in jail for things they say"

@zackpolanski.bsky.social points out 2,700 people have been arrested for holding signs

And well done to Zack for challenging Phillips smear that 'from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free' is antisemitic

Voter cheating, or electoral fraud, is extremely rare in the USA

Only 39 cases of voter fraud were ID'd in a recent election, a mere 0.000039% of over 100 million ballots cast

Snowdrops and scarlet elfcups growing in Llanforda woods among the ruins of Edward Lluyd's house.

"No sight ever pleases me so well as the snowdrops now in the wilderness," wrote the renowned botanist Edward Lloyd in 1668, referring to his garden and home near Oswestry. The house is long gone but along the path through its ruins the snowdrops continue to flourish and delight. #WildflowerHour

A Tawny Owl roosting only a few minutes from our doorstep. Lovely to see, had it to ourselves and left it alone after just a couple of minutes with the camera at a respectable distance.

A parent White-throated Dipper (Cinclus cinclus) feeding a juvenile.

#BirdOfTheDay theme is #FeedingTime. This is from last Spring - a White-throated Dipper (Cinclus cinclus) feeding a juvenile.

The White-throated Dipper is the national bird of Norway, although this one was in the UK.

Yesterday, Danish troops, who stood shoulder to shoulder with U.S. troops in Afghanistan from 2001 to 2021, arrived in Greenland to defend the island from the United States of America. Think about that. The world is in a mess so great it's hard to comprehend.

Blue-footed Booby (Sula nebouxii): 90cm (35in). This Pacific seabird is easily identifiable by its bright blue webbed feet, which they use to keep their eggs warm. Their streamlined bodies make them excellent divers, & they can plummet from heights as high as 80 feet! #booby #bird #nature #wildlife

Speaker Mike Johnson of the US House of Representatives is meant to address Parliament here in London tomorrow as a representative of the US government. Really? Now? When the US is threatening war against NATO? Suely Starner must cancel this?

Spurge Laurel, Daphne laureola, at Hutchinson's Bank in Croydon. For me this is one of the heralds of a new year of botanising, bringing with it the anticipation of seeking out new (to me) species, and the revisiting of familiar ones. Always something new to learn! #WildflowerHour
