But it's a start.
Hopefully only a week or two away from breaking rains. *fingers crossed*
First draft essay on the Deposition of Frederick II promoted by Pope Innocent IV finally complete.... it's only taken alllll day. š„“
Due on Friday, so let's see if I can somehow whittle it down to 1000 words and actually make it sound like I have some coherent understanding of the subject.
Last night's little art session with my favourites produced this watercolour and wash of cray boats at the Coffin Bay jetty.
I have so many childhood memories of climbing up and down my families cray boats as they unloaded their latest catches or helping load the groceries for the next trip! #art
I hope NASA at least waits until Suni Williams is home safe before erasing all mention of her from their website
18.03.2025 21:36 ā š 1350 š 360 š¬ 19 š 20How awesome was it to see NASA Astronaut Suni Williams and her other crew members splash down today? Honestly, this woman is an inspiration, I hope she recovers quickly, and I can soon hear some in depth chats with her about how her time in space was.

I had day surgery yesterday to deal with women's stuff. First time I've been under anaesthetic since I was like 10. The hospital staff were fantastic, except it was an extremely vulnerable experience.
Came out with some good pain meds though :)

Congratulations, New Russia! The wealthy will rejoice, and your working class and minorities will pay.
Look at the bed you made.

28.02.2025 05:26 ā š 1 š 0 š¬ 0 š 0During tonight's uni lecture (modern history), I was reminded that during scary times, it's important to remember that history is constantly changing.
And to be reminded tonight how quickly things can & likely, WILL change, gave me back that little spark I hold for a more inclusive and kinder world.
I've never actually heard of it. Should I be checking it out? :)

Finishing up Dennis E. Taylor's 'All These Worlds' audiobook (narrated by the fantastic Ray Porter).
I'm not sure why I thought this was the final book in the Bobiverse series, but it appears there's at least another two.
I'm not sure how I feel about that, as I feel like it's getting a little tired
I know I'm not the only one thinking it, but the world would be a much better place without 3 certain "leaders" at the moment.
It's only a matter of time before I won't be able to travel again. :(
Everything is parched.

Watched 2002's Signs for the first time in years tonight. Aside from the ending, I was reminded of just how brilliant the thriller genre can be.
Personally, I think it'd make a brilliant stage production.
Can you imagine aliens turning up in the middle of the audience suddenly. I'd shit myself. š¤£

Yesterday, I ran a creative portraits workshop, which I was so nervous about, but ended up having an amazing time.
My two little model assistants helped me show some lovely ladies how it was done, and we ended up thoroughly enjoying the experience and the day.
Holding my first (and possibly only!) posing and creative portrait workshop today. Imposter syndrome really makes things more difficult than it needs to be.
Here's to no sleep and a day of running on coffee! š¤Ŗš¬š¤£
I really enjoyed this one, even if I felt it was a little more YA focused than The Martian and PHM.
Ray Porter, the narrator of PHM is amazing. It became one of my favourites and I re-read it annually. Enjoy!
Ooo, I'm so glad to find you here seeing as I am trying to wean myself from Meta.
