Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.

We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.

They own what happens next.

What could be more quintessentially American than a convicted sex offender attending the biggest sporting/commerical event of the year played in the home stadium of a team implicated in the cover up of systemic priestly sex abuse. Maybe a military salute to the Dear Leader too.

OK, here's the thing. Beyond the details of this case, which are terrible and unsurprising, there's no such thing as 'corporate citizen.' People are citizens and corporations aren't people. Period. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

California should appropriate all federally owned property within its borders and sell what it can (and where it makes sense) to fund it's own recovery. Then, it should withhold funds from the federal government (California sends more money to Washington than it receives).
