I thought the S1 game can be bought for S2 and it should work just fine? I didn't upgrade mine, and there were no issues at all on S2.
But yeah, the DLC does not seem appealing or worth the price to me at all, especially if the base game is unaltered (despite the marketing implying otherwise).

I've had an experience where my flight was delayed by 12 hours. It definitely wasn't pleasant to be waiting this long in an airport.
