I hated 90's/oughts sexuality culture so much. I'm kind of wondering if part of why authoritarian politicians are doing this whole conservative slide is because the fogeys in power seriously internalized some "opposition to pedophilia is conservative" narrative from their own younger days.

When I look at the political landscape, I do not find that schizophrenic ideation correlates with integrity. Schizophrenics tend towards paranoid extremism, which makes them (us) generally easier to manipulate by the corrupt, and nothing guarantees the corrupt are any saner than their victims.

One of the things I've encountered as a schizophrenic is the literal inverse stereotype: that particularly honest people are schizophrenic, and one of the advantages of working with the corrupt is that they're sane.

The voices in my head are corrupt, which tends to make me imagine that corrupt people are doing the bidding of the voices in their head.

Although I've heard barely four sentences from the voices in the entirety of the last week... Tch, they've been so quiet, even in the middle of the night.

sepulchritude one thing I don't think people realize is that in arguments about human rights, it's not about trying to persuade the other party. it's not about them at all. they've already made up their mind. it's about persuading the audience. if I call out my teacher on being homophobic I'm not trying to change his opinion. I'm trying to convince any closeted kids in the room that they're not the monsters he's made them out to be. if I argue with my aunt about how racist she's being it's not because I expect to change her mind. it's because I'm hoping to god my cousin's kids hear and learn that maybe skin color doesn't mean what she says it means. people will try to hush you and say "they're not going to change their minds, don't bother" but it's not about them. it was never about them.
