You'll usually see it in reference to what 'ships' are morally acceptable to enjoy, under the implication that if you like 'immoral ships' (things that would be questionable to deeply harmful irl), then you condone the behavior irl.
And it is about as 1-to-1 of United States puritanism but in a primarily queer demographic as you can get, it's extremely unsettling.
Replace 'anti' with 'puritan extremist' and you've got the jist. It does not matter what nuance there is in reality, the moral depiction of fiction is more important
