i'm trying 😃

i'll try to stop in more, but my mind is one-track. i've completely stopped taking photos. my social media has gone by the wayside. i'm paying minimal attention to politics. and i still don't have enough time in the day to do what i need to do. any ideas for an energy boost? lol.

the stairs are one thing. laundry in the basement. too many things falling apart to possibly repair while still living here with the cats. it's time to get out of here and get something i can maintain while updating this place for sale. it's going to keep me busy for a long, long time.

so i'm currently packing, doing some dyi repairs, house hunting, researching shit, and buying things. and trying to manage to get to work. i've decided i have adhd which is why i fixate like this. my fixation has just moved on from bluesky to real world stuff. need to make my day to day life easier.

sorry to stress you out, Dean. i didn't intend to stay gone forever, but i got busy with other things and weeks turned into months. i am currently fixated on getting a new house. got my current one paid off and with my knee going bad decided i needed a new one without so many stairs.

thanks Pelzer, i miss you guys too. i didn't mean to stay gone like this but i got involved in other obsessions and don't have enough energy to go around. one fixation at a time.

Bilma came on a not road trip to fb and shamed me. i'm fine. i missed you guys. i've gotten busy with other stuff. couldn't keep sitting here on the internet all day every day. it was all i was doing and i had other things to take care of that i was ignoring.

love the warmth on the stone. i can almost feel that bit of heat amid the crisp autumn days we are now having.

grateful too for gen z. they are eager recipients of the spirit. they are worthy of it. i've felt that since standing rock and since i watched emma gonzalez calling BS in the wake of the Parkland shooting. in some ways i think they are stronger than us. and i'm glad because it was sorely needed.

and hopefully, if needed, pass the torch and the spirit of this moment on to next generations so that it does not die but rests until it is needed. i am thankful for the opportunity to leave this legacy alongside the tough old woman in the photo, fists on hips. i feel like we have played our part./3

emotionally, the sense of hope and a feeling of continuation and leaving a mark for posterity. we are leaving an indelible mark on these younger generations by showing up and speaking out, leading the way so that they can shine with new ideas and innovations and they will remember this always. 2/

every time i look at this photo, esp the slightly gloomier original version, the composition and subject remind me of the iconic photo on the right. the grey sky. the directionality. the flag now upside down. the the mountainlike outline in profile (men in one, buildings and people in the other). 1/
