According to the latest December employment data from the New York State Department of Labor, in 2025 there were 40,100 net new jobs added in New York City (measured on a Q4-to-Q4 basis), just 800 off from IBO's projection of 40,900 jobs in our November plan.

New York City has one of the lowest rates of available public restrooms per residents for a major U.S. city. Earlier this week Mayor Mamdani announced a commitment of $4 million City dollars to kick off the process of expanding the City's public restroom network.

What's the deal with #NYCBathrooms?

With 975 operational public restrooms as of June 2025 for the 8.48 million residents of New York City, there is functionally one public restroom for every 8,697 people.
