Foundation Aid is the largest source of State funding for school districts, and provided roughly $10.8 billion to the City's Department of Education in Fiscal Year 2027

According to the latest December employment data from the New York State Department of Labor, in 2025 there were 40,100 net new jobs added in New York City (measured on a Q4-to-Q4 basis), just 800 off from IBO's projection of 40,900 jobs in our November plan.

New York City has one of the lowest rates of available public restrooms per residents for a major U.S. city. Earlier this week Mayor Mamdani announced a commitment of $4 million City dollars to kick off the process of expanding the City's public restroom network.
