Oh okay this video just did a Mortal Kombat Fatality on me

My first DLC mission had me kiting ~6 of the giant blobs around a giant pit, just so I could lure another giant blob off of the only road out of the map. It was so satisfyingly stressful.

Kinda made going back to the base game feel way too chill in comparison.

People don't dislike Tim Sweeney nearly as much as they should.

Spoke to a number of devs about how, in the face of CEOs claiming gen-AI is the future, their declaration of being genAI free is making waves.

There is no way you can guess how the thread that ends in this instant classic begins.

Looking it over, I’m kinda blown away by how dense it is. I think I’ll have to assign it as homework to everyone else in our group before even trying to set it up.

Sadly the holidays pretty much mean that won’t be till next year.

Agemonia weighs a metric ton. Might be the biggest game I own now by weight alone. Either that or Frosthaven, which is similarly hefty.

I also had a couple of people griping that I snagged Wonderland’s war, so I hope it lives up to that reputation.

Went to the local board game store for its bi-annual used game sale and picked up this stack of bangers.

All of these were on our “buy on sight, but don’t expect to see at the sale” list, so it was a pleasant surprise to snag them all.

Only thing we missed out on was the Dark Souls board game.

I’m going to a big used board game sale tomorrow, and need suggestions for games to look out for!

Ideally games that are either:
* Rare
* Out of Print
* Only released via crowdfunding and never retail.
* Are Niche/Dont rank highly on Board Game Geek

Stuff like Sorcerer City & Everstone. Ideally.

I should mention that I’m relatively adverse to overly adversarial, mean, legacy, or set-in-reality boardgames unless they go hard on a unique theme like Unconscious Mind. As opposed to, say, Bricks for Sheep.

But I’m willing to make exceptions if a game is really special.

Luckily even the AI bros were calling it out for being beyond the pale, so I’m pretty sure it’s doomed before it can even launch.

But yeah, its absolutely galling seeing just how little corporations think of people/life if they think they can make a buck. I hope they lose billions in the crash.

I haven’t tried Vindication yet. To be honest, the box at my LGS is dauntingly large so I haven’t even tried to look at what’s in it/what it’s about.
