Trump cancels meeting with top Democrats as government shutdown looms New York Democrats Sen. Chuck Schumer and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries say Trump will take the blame for a federal government shutdown if a deal can't be reached.

Trump’s decision to cancel negotiations and push towards a shutdown is reckless. He has no interest in making sure government is working for families struggling from rising prices. All he cares about is his power and using the Oval Office to make himself billions of dollars.

Just shameful to watch a nominee for Governor in New Jersey stand on a debate stage and say this.

I’m at the Capitol as we have votes today in the Senate. Just steps from the rotunda is a plaque honoring passengers and crew of Flight 93. 40 brave souls who stood up to terror and saved countless lives here in our nation’s capital. We honor them today.

Today we honor the lives lost in the attacks on September 11th 24 years ago and honor all of the brave first responders who ran toward terror to save lives and have since passed from illness. As we did so many years ago, we come together to make sure they are never forgotten.

Simply abhorrent. There is no justification for political violence. We all must condemn this attack on Charlie Kirk.

CDC director Susan Monarez fired by Trump administration after refusing to resign Monarez’s lawyers said she “refused to rubber-stamp unscientific, reckless directives.” The White House responded that she was “not aligned with the President’s agenda.”

The CDC was known as the “gold standard” that set the mark for the rest of the world. Lives are being put at risk and our global leadership in shambles from what Trump and Kennedy have done.
