This effectively forces every trans person to move, makes them reliant on friends/partners/family for their every need, or throws them in jail. Straight up barbaric.

If you don't know anything about Kansas or other plains states, there are few if any public transportation options outside the major cities. Hell, there's barely any in the cities. Commutes in the dozens of miles are common so walking is out of the question in even the best of weather.
