second page. a woman walks in. she says “hello doctor Makri! my humors are acting up again.” she continues to describe her symptoms (in squiggly text) as she sits on the patient table.

third page. the doctor gives her an injection of medicine, presumably. the woman hands over the fee, saying “here’s what i owe!” the doctor looks at the coin, replying “… this is more than your total.” the woman replies “oh, i don’t mind! you can have it!” inner monologue of the doctor: she pities you.

page four. the woman leaves, the doctor stands in the middle of the room. inner monologue: pity?

needless to say i uploaded this late because i was too lazy to write the alt text till now

the doctor peeks at the picture, before getting up abruptly and throwing on their coat.

the doctor rushes out of their office and heads to the cemetery as it rains.

they stop at a headstone, as darkness rolls in. inner monologue: why am i running?

the doctor falls to their knees as the eyes and darkness overtake them. the gravestone reads “reuben makri” (he is their brother) inner monologue: i’ve already lost.

21-24/24

the doctor sifts through their notes in a panic. inner monologue: where is it.

the doctor begins to panic more as the eyes close in, and reaches for a syringe. inner monologue: i need this to end

the doctor wakes up on the floor of their study. they turn their head to find a picture frame has fallen down face first next to them.

17-20/24

the patient behinds to describe what he’s going through, but the words melt away as the doctor cannot focus on anything but the eyes. the patient does not seem to see what they see.

the doctor turns around quickly, shaken. they say “yes- yes i uh- i have just the thing” their vision is blurry as they gaze at their hands. inner monologue: just pick. pick Something. just don’t fail him. they grab a bottle off the desk.

the doctor thrusts their hand out to hand the patient the pills. they say “take this once a day.” the patient casts them a weird glance but leaves. the eyes seem to laugh at the doctor. inner monologue: must have chosen wrong.

the doctor bursts into their study. inner monologue: i can’t go insane. i’ll Fail them- my notes- my notes will tell me how to fix this.

13-16/24

the doctor kneels at a headstone, and takes some mystery pills. inner monologue: even myself.

the doctor wakes up, having either fallen asleep or passed out on top of a grave. inner monologue: i should go home.

the doctor returns home, hanging up their jacket and sitting at their desk. just as they sit down, someone knocks on the door. the doctor sighs.

the doctor says “come i-“ before being interrupted at their new patient opening the door. however, when they turn to see, they see a void of blackness behind the patient, populated with eyes.

9-12/24

inner monologue: Pity. the doctor swipes equipment off the table. inner monologue: i don’t deserve pity. the doctor holds up a syringe.

inner monologue: pity won’t fix what’s wrong with me. the doctor injects themself with the mystery medication, before stumbling to their room and slumping into bed.
