Our Rocket Roundtables are informal conversations open to artists and arts workers. They are an opportunity to gather, to share and to listen, as we work towards strengthening our arts community in a joint effort.

Nora is happy to be back at the Hall to share her joy, curiosity, and her love of storytelling.
Nora has a BA (Anthropology) from Memorial University, and trained as an actor at the National Theatre School of Canada. Nora has shared stories on stages in Treaty 2, 4, 6, and 7 territories, in Tiohtià:ke, and across the island of Ktaqmkuk.

Teluisi Nora Barker, ni’n na Ln’u. Tleyawi Sple'tk Qapskuk, Ktaqmkuk. Wetapeksi Miawkpukuk aq Glenwood. Nora Barker is an artist from Grand Falls - Windsor, NL now based in St. John’s.
In his free time he enjoys designing board games, cartooning, watching Godzilla movies, painting miniatures, and collecting vintage toys.
He is also a regular foley artist with Ladies Who Lunch productions, and the chair of Untellable Movement Theatre. When he’s not doing theatre, Kevin runs an independent publishing company called Heavy Sweater Comics.
He has a BFA (Acting) from Grenfell College, and an MFA (Directing/Creation) from York University, where he focused on solo performance, mask, and movement. After Grad school, Kevin formed the Temporary Theatre Company, which focused on intimate micro-theatre performance.
Kevin has been a Newfoundland-based theatre artist for over twenty-five years working both on and off the stage as an actor, prop builder, director, writer, and more. He has worked for theatre companies all over Newfoundland but has always called the Hall his home.
After 5 years of working as our Operations Manager, we are excited to announce that Kevin is moving into the Public Relations & Fund Development Coordinator position at Resource Centre for the Arts.
Full Time (52 weeks), 35 hours/week, weekend/evening and on-call work will be required.
