Biomedical Sciences PhD. The more I see, the more liberal I become. Coffee fan, garden fan, science fan, peace fan, humanity fan. I would love affordable childcare, strict gun laws, very high teacher salaries, and a wealth cap.

I hope she can outlast all the dirt bags to shine as the Supreme Court Justice she has worked to be. She's acting exactly how SCOTUS was meant to act, free from influence from the other branches and corporate interests.

Along with abolishing ICE we should abolish all for-profit prison companies in the country.

W.E.B. Du Bois on Robert E. Lee:

“Either he knew what slavery meant when he helped maim and murder thousands in its defense, or he did not. If he did not he was a fool. If he did, Robert Lee was a traitor and a rebel–not indeed to his country, but to humanity and humanity’s God.”

My one wish for a better world is to keep money out of politics. I like listening to you and your message. Always a bright spot on my feed!

I don’t know how many times we have to say this, but the U.S. government is not a business and shouldn’t be run like one. It’s a service—for the people.

I'm nervous other people won't believe them, but I always will.

This is gross.

I'm hoping it will only take a generation to undo this mentality.

I'm teaching my kids to be rude to people if they feel uncomfortable. Examples: Get off the elevator immediately, cross the street, tell parents and teachers everything!, tell me to back off if I'm too much. Having mixed kids means their life will be harder in ways I don't understand.

Sen. Slotkin says Democrats need to get 'Alpha energy' and fight for middle class As Democrats grapple with President Trump’s first 100 days in office, they also contend with a minority in both the House and Senate. Looking ahead at the long road to the 2026 midterm elections, some...

@slotkin.senate.gov I have a very hard time believing "Alpha energy" is what got you elected. Much more likely, it was the backing provided by the DNC. You maintained control of a Democratic controlled seat *barely*. Stop voting for Trump appointments. Change course or you will lose your seat.

I dream of a country without gun violence, a country where we can send our kids to school, go to bars, places of worship, voting stations, and even the grocery store, without worrying that someone has a gun and might use it. #MothersDayWishes #MomSky

Walz: If you say you love freedom but you don't believe freedom is for everybody, then the thing you love is not freedom, it is privilege.

Please, I just want America to strive to be kind and compassionate. Governments and agencies should exemplify our most honorable values. Everyone deserves dignity and security. Kids deserve to be safe. America's moral debt is growing.

Laura in a red STL hat smiling holding a blue sign that says “Support scientific research like your life depends on it” and she is next to her brother who is wearing a black hat, smiling and holding a black sign that says “diversity drives discovery” in white paint. There is a peace sign on the poster. Behind them is a long sidewalk with many people with signs all standing along a main road A word poem with the word AUTISM in red marker written vertically, and the poem says: “Always Unique, Unconditionally loved, Totally capable, Incredibly brave, Shining light, Making a difference” the rest of the poem is in blue ink on a white sign, and there are blue hearts, it makes you think of the USA flag A white poster with green edges that says “SCIENCE NOT SILENCE” with 3 hands of different skin tones that say “Hands off vaccines” “Hands off CDC” “Hands of NIH”

Support scientific research like your LIFE depends on it!

Last night was the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride to warn the Minutemen of approaching British troops.

I want to take a moment to share an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence's grievances against King George III.

Remind you of anyone?

I can feel these aspirational positions slipping away. I was drawn to biomedical research because it's a way to help people. To do something impactful in a foundational way. We're already losing the next generation of scientists from this damage.

Keep in mind the US prison system that thrives off incarceration. If there was any chance of conviction that would add to the US prison population, they absolutely would. Draw your own conclusions, I guess

I wasn't just receiving ads for stuff I had searched or talked about. It was shape wear and weight loss ads after the babies were born. "Educational" toy subscriptions, milestone trackers, non-FDA approved baby formula, expensive sleep training programs for newborns. It feels good to be out of it.

Bring back *everyone* who was sent from the U.S. to CECOT in El Salvador. *No one* should be sent there. ALL their rights were violated. ALL of them should come home.

If natalism is the sword and shield, doesn't that make children (and women) weapons and sacrificial?

I don't like this one bit.

There is the group that says women are delusional for thinking that sexism is real and then there is the group that wants women seen and not heard.

I think they might be the same group.

Requiring REAL IDs and passports and birth certificates to vote?!?

Imagine if these were required to buy a gun.

Where Students Have Had Their Visas Revoked The Trump administration has quietly revoked hundreds of student visas across the country, wreaking havoc on the system.

Over 500 student visas have been revoked in the US. Angry and disgusted are just a few emotions I feel.
I even overheard a conversation yesterday where someone's friend had their student visa revoked trying to re-enter the country. Every community is being affected and ATTACKED!
