Also the big Surugaya in Shinjuku (near the park) used to have a reasonable range of aftermarket kits, though haven’t visited for a bit

Feb is nearly over! This month I cracked open the epic PG Unleashed vGundam, and worked through most of its inner frame leg parts - a long journey ahead..! 😅

Yeah, that looks great! I guess the only way to 100% match would be to strip the whole thing and paint fresh.. 😅
Though it it’s a big kit with a lot of the same color gold parts, could be worth the time experimenting with tones as you say.
Just a little progress so far this week, but wrapped the first two parts of Leg Unit 08.
☺️ All plastic parts airbrushed. Went with a metallic color for the central unit to spruce it up a touch (gray OOB).
