It bugs me. 😉

On a gravel path surrounded by Pacific Northwest trees on both the left and the right there is a tree branch partially obstructing it. The sky is cloudy and bright. The path is partially wet. The leaves are mostly green, but there is some dotting of golden red.

A slight obstruction on my path this morning.

I easily walked around it.

Two of the top voices is the literary community—both who understand the digital landscape at a practical level—have a conversation!

If you’re canceling subscription services with giant companies with ties to terrible people, you should think about replacing them with a library card. Many library systems give you access to physical media (some of which you can’t find on streaming!) as well as other great stuff.

University libraries are also a great resource. In The Seattle area, UW is open to everyone, and cards are available.

A nice piece. I do wonder about time as motion (time flys, freezing time, etc).

Perhaps time is always still; it’s just us flying through it or stopping in it?

I’m a little behind on my writing craft reading 😔 , but I enjoyed Michelle Wildgen’s piece in May/June @pw.org mag “On Discomfort.”

She mentions how being out on one’s depth can be thrilling!

I agree. The more resistance I have to doing something, the more I need to do it.
