The idea that #TuskeeAirmen had to prove not only that they were capable pilots in a nation that didn't want them to or believe they could fly. While leading to one for the best combat records never losing a bomber and being sought after for escorts shows a love of country and hope for the future.

The idea of serving a nation, and a people who have some that would just as well see you beat and bruised all for the hope of a better tomorrow is motivating. The idea that #BeaArthur served in the Marines even know she was considered second class as a woman is inspiring and hopeful.

I can’t believe this has to be said, but: You cannot tell the story of Jackie Robinson—as a ballplayer, serviceman, or human—without discussing our country’s history of racism.

That's exactly what I said. They literally picked a decorated; but random soldier with the name Benning and couldn't even find a photo. That's wild... I've performed at hundreds of dedication and naming ceremonies including a bunch in Iraq and there were always pictures of those being honored.

The Army didn't have a photo of the 'new' Benning, so we found this one Cpl. Fred Benning was a World War I hero who became a baker, a successful businessman, and the mayor of Neligh, Nebraska.

Today, a broad coalition of scientific professional societies who represent over 92,000 scientists are speaking out against the politicization and demonization of Federally funded science and government scientist jobs.

It was an honor to help the Union of Concerned Scientists with this! 🧪🌎

It was a very inspiring video and reminded me to go back and watch the Glenn Close film biopic of Col Cammermeyer.

The Army deleted my “Why I served” video where I talked about how I decided I wanted to attend West Point/join the Army after one of the cadets my family used to sponsor died in combat. Probably deleted because she was the first black woman to be CSM at West Point.
