When St. Patrick's Day is near, and a huge snowstorm will arrive before then, nearly every shopping cart at the grocery store contains corned beef packages, cabbage, and potatoes.

Times like these I wish Bluesky had multiple reaction buttons, like Facebook does, because if feels wrong to heart this.

Feels to me like whoever runs on "I am going to put into prison every single person currently in power in government, business, or law enforcement" has a decent chance at 500 electoral votes.

I have some too. But sometimes, the ice glaze is so thin, the cleats don't have anything to grab onto.

I didn't used to mind March snow. But what's really getting to me is the rain/snow slop that turns sidewalks into skating rinks. Walking the dog is something I usually enjoy, but not in these conditions.

I've lived in the northern US my entire life, and used to love winter, but I'm losing that love.

After countless hours this winter and more than 9,000 pieces. We have achieved Lego Titanic.

Sometimes I'm too lazy to block. :) But I at least don't follow back.

Yeah, I'm seeing this a lot. I get followed by people whose feeds are definitely suspect.

So much ICE out there today in South Minneapolis. They’re prowling around harassing schools.

Stay frosty, friends

I confess to following a woman at a grocery store who was bald with a gorgeous floral head tattoo. I could do that. If I weren't so wimpy.

I'd kinda like to shave my head, but the default public assumption is that a bald woman has cancer and is undergoing chemo.

Chapter 1 of Moby Dick, page 1

The phrase ‘Call me Ishmael’, the first sentence of the book, is highlighted in blue, with careful highlighting on the very big C at the start. Above this, written in ballpoint pen ‘His name’

Love the glimpse into the beautiful mind that notated this used copy of Moby Dick I got

Fun fact: Seattle restaurants banded together and raised more than $100k for MN restaurants last month. And a WA yarn store donated red yarn to St. Paul's The Yarnery.

I enjoyed this so much! I can read all the entries through 1300 without difficulty (I still read Chaucer for pleasure), can parse 1200 with some effort, and after that it’s picking out stray words and phrases.
