Pictures emerging from today’s heavy bombing of Isfahan. Damages to the mirror works, tiles, floors, and carved wooden doors of Safavid palaces of Aali Qapu and Chehelsotoon. Both of these are within the UNESCO Heritage complex of Naqsh-e Jahan Square. These are 16th-17th century bldgs.

This goes for American comics, too. Take what you think they make, halve it, then halve it again. And if they aren't working for the Big Two, halve it again. And to be brutally honest, if they're writing and drawing graphic novels, halve it yet again.

A beautiful little porch prominently featuring porcelain animals (a beautiful white and pink pig relaxing in recline, a grey and white cat with a butterfly in its nose, an abstract cat holding a cactus with a pink bulb on the top kind of like Bulbasaur it's really cute) as well as many desert plants and succulents in various colorful pots. There is also a soft focus plastic lawn flamingo in the background as well as a hummingbird feeder. The author is enjoying a Soleil brand sparkling water, blood orange flavor

A shot of a gorgeous apartment from a 1986 John Woo movie. It is pretty dated but somehow both stylish and cozy.

Cis people need to pay attention to the way they communicate this. They freely admit that after all of their research, they came up with zero evidence that HRT was harmful.

Then they banned it anyway, claiming their inability to find a reason is a reason in of itself.

Screenshot of four different jobs from the NY Mag feature about what people make in NYC:
"Home Health Aide
$23,000
I've been a home health aide for ten years. My main patient last year was in Brooklyn. I spent most of my time taking care of her. I worked two days a week, and I was being paid for 13 hours of work each day - my agency, Loyal Home Care, budgets eight hours of sleep and three hours for mealtimes into our wages. But I was basically working 24 hours a day. She was active, and I was worried she would fall, so I would watch her all day and night. This is a pretty common experience for health aides. The agency can deny our overtime, but you can't deny a patient. When they say, "Oh, I need a drink of water; I need to use the bathroom," how could you possibly say "no" to them?
Bronx Day-Care Worker
$31,000
$16,600 from day-care profits
$14,400 from trainings and consulting
Last year, I lost a lot of kids. I live in the Bronx, and a bunch of families in my neighborhood lost their child-care vouchers. We're talking about people who make as much as I do; most of the moms I work with are home health aides. They can't afford full-time child care. If I have 16 kids, I can pay myself for 40 hours of work. But last year, I didn't, and obviously I'm still doing the same amount of work. I've been running the day care out of my home for more than seven years. It's a profession I entered out of necessity and have stayed in out of passion. I pay for everything - food, cleaning supplies, toys - and we have to meet the same requirements as a large company in terms of paying for liability insurance, which can feel pointless in this industry. I mean, if something happens to one of my children, I lose my license. End of story."

Click here to support Dominic Griffin's story *SaveOurStuffAndKeepARoof *spotfund is the easiest place to create beautiful and free online fundraisers. It takes just minutes to start raising money today.

Next Thursday, the storage unit my girlfriend & I packed our entire lives into is getting auctioned off. I made a Spotfund campaign to try to prevent that from happening and to explain the situation as best I can. Please read and share if you can.

Under CalCare, everyone in California would have access to:
β€’ Free Health care
β€’ Free Dental care
β€’ Free Vision care
β€’ Free Prescription medication
β€’ Free Long-term services and
supports
And the system would eliminate:
β€’ Premiums
β€’ Deductibles
β€’ Co pays
β€’ Surprise medical bills
β€’ Medical debt from any doctor, hospital, or provider
Health care would be treated as a public good, not something tied to your job or your income.
Would be pretty cool if this actually happens this time. I don't even care if my taxes go up (even though that's not the plan). I would happily pay a little more to make sure that everyone can see a doctor.
