Hey NPR. They already stripped your funding despite years of you giving them the benefit of the doubt and giving their lies a platform. Continuing to use soft language like this is not going to make them give the funding back.

Even if ICE wasn't breaking the law and wasn't inflicting horrific violence on our neighborhoods and our residents, they should STILL be abolished. There is no version of ICE that can possibly exist and still be moral and ethical.

The idea that immigrants are flooding the US, doing harm, and draining our resources is a racist lie, and it's time that we start treating it as such. Immigrants built this country and we need to continue to help them let us build. Welcome them, befriend them.

The SOLUTION is amnesty. Give them visas and work permits. Make the undocumented migrants documented. Make their presence here legal. Provide paths to citizenship. Deportation should be only for felons. Hard working, good people deserve a chance to thrive here.

The PROBLEM is how we treat them. The PROBLEM is that by being undocumented they're subject to worse working conditions and make it harder to uphold our other laws regarding housing and discrimination.

They do not need to exist because the problem they were created to fight is not a problem. Undocumented migrants are NOT a drain to our system. Undocumented migrants commit crime at a lower rate than people born here. "Illegal immigration" is NOT a problem that needs fixing trough deportation.

One thing that's being lost, because it has been supported by both parties for decades, is that ICE isn't just bad because of their violent, illegal tactics. It's that the entire premise behind their existence is flawed.

To all my fellow protestors, and I cannot stress this enough. If you get arrested, plead not guilty, demand a jury trial. Take no deals. You are innocent, defend your innocence.
