Thrilled to have galleys of my book in hand! Final corrections & index pending. Please consider preordering, gifting, & teaching. Via the archive, interviews & more I show how the crisis we face now reflects failure to listen & act on the democracy Black folks have envisioned, but we still can.
This would be laughable if it wasn’t so tragic for so many families.
We've spent $19 BILLION in TWO WEEKS. For a technology that's already dying. If we spent that much on solar & wind, we could reduce our energy dependency by 12.5% in a year.
We could be pollution-free and have electricity at a quarter of current prices in eight years.
Instead we have war.
If we made the green energy transition this war would be unthinkable and these authoritarians wouldn’t be in power — not in the US, not in Iran, not in Saudi Arabia, not in Russia. Hydrocarbons are killing our freedom and just plain killing us.
Lousy Smarch foreign policy…
And putting troops on the ground in any kind of small area doesn’t make them safer, it makes them an easier target. Kharg Island, mainland coast, etc. it would be a Gallipoli all over again.
Is that good?
Another recommended account for a smile.

This account brings daily joy. Would recommend.
My grandfather flew in one of these for years. He was responsible for handling the refueling boom. Always a really tricky process of two airplanes flying really close to each other.
Whether you agree with this war or not, support our brave soldiers. These six sacrificed their lives for you and me.
Trump tried to shut it down, but yesterday the power was turned on. Rhode Island and Connecticut began receiving offshore wind power from REVOLUTION Wind yesterday, expected to generate enough power to supply some 350,000 homes.
Also demand destruction tho. We are seeing more interest in EVs than at any time over the past six months or longer.
BFD: Revolution Wind is delivering power!
If Rev Wind has the same capacity factor as South Fork Wind did in its first year (46.5%), it will generate 2.74 TWh of electricity annually, equivalent to 34% of power use in the state of #RhodeIsland! /1

The quoted tweet is, among other things, a devastating indictment of Politico. No one there is capable of recognizing it or feeling shame, but still.
They wouldn’t be scared if they didn’t know it was already happening.
Looking forward to when our own automakers rediscover that customers actually do want EVs, if designed for range and sold effectively.
Oh.
Climate solutions don't have to be just about "don't do this bad thing". There are plenty of "do this good thing". In that list, right at the top, should be turning anything doesn't use electricity into something that uses electricity.
Everyone is dunking on him for this, and rightfully so. But I noticed him mention that he knows “everything is written intentionally”.
Basically his news experience was at Fox News and he’s admitting they do write chyrons with political intent. He’s assuming other actual news orgs do as well.
This just in: Sun agrees to release infinity million barrels of sunshine every morning
He’s just days away from giving up and abandoning the effort, and declaring it a victory. I really hope so, at least. If we try to “own” the Gulf it will lead to years of hardship.
PS: Decouple our economy from this goopy crap. Invest into EVs again.
Oh no. Pray for a safe rescue.
They're calling it Stupid Gallipoli
He does. He’s just hoping you don’t.

Seems like they were out of their depth.
It is extremely difficult to construct a practical case against this position. Net Zero is now as much about patriotism as it is about climate change.
Same.
