I dislike how the article downplays BG2... the romances in that game were wild, very different from the BioWare formula used later.

You'll argue, get into love triangles (that lead to duels!), get dumped, have a child, see your love kidnapped & killed... not to mention they're all toxic as hell lol

Great summary of one of the best Chinese RPGs ever made.

Hopefully soon people will actually play the upcoming remake and experience this story themselves. Would hate to see it get dismissed as "that Chinese E33 clone".

Or let devs decide how difficulty work in their games. Sometimes a non-granular difficulty setting is better.
