Viable if you have a pb of 2:53 or lower.
With how reset heavy early game already is, I wouldn't recommend going for this until you're confident enough in your ability to nail everything else on any given run.
While the strat's viable, it can still take up to an hour to get a solid run going with it

Prologue skip in SMG2 is officially RTA viable!
Early game is going to get WAY more reset-heavy since hitting this first try saves you around 30~ seconds.
While this isn't required yet, it most likely will be sometime in the near future

January has been a crazy month for Mario WRs:

-Mr. Cloud Kirby improved the SMG1 Any% Luigi 1P record 3 times with a 2:16:26, 2:15:50 + 2:15:29
-SB got a 2:51:14 in SMS 120 Shines (7th)
-Niftski passing Super Mario Bros. in 4:54.565 (9th)
-Tyron got the first 55 in SMO Any% in 55:59.933 (10th)

One of my proudest speedruns as of today. I never expected to get a time this low in this game. Super excited to see how much more I'm capable of. (maybe sub 3 in the future?)
