And I'm outside in the dark Staring at the blood red moon Remembering the hopes and dreams I had And all I had to do And wondering what became of that boy And the world he called his own I'm outside in the dark Wondering how I got so old

We're delighted to announce the publication of the baseline Safety Assessment report for Codethink Trustable Reproducible Linux. The report validates Codethink's safety argument for using CTRL OS in safety-critical and mixed-criticality systems up to SIL 3/ASIL D. www.codethink.co.uk/news/trustab...

Could the government compulsory purchase all the land banked plots developers are sitting on?

The Government should make building hundreds of thousands of council homes its defining purpose.

No other policy, achievable within a Parliament, would bring greater social and economic benefits.

Today's CPU is the Motorola 6809, released in 1978 and regarded to be one of the most powerful 8bit CPUs. It was a bit late to the scene and was pricey so didn't become as popular as the likes of the Z80 or 6502. It did find a home in machines such as the TRS-80 Coco, Fujitsu FM-7 and Dragon 32/64

Comfort quilt made of 16 brightly colored blocks, including one in the shape of a hot pink house. The corner blocks are half square triangles, making the quilt look like an octagon. Most of the blocks contain lime green fabrics, and the binding is also lime green.

Snow covered ground and trees with a spherical streetlamp adding a bit more light at around 11am. It's really not that bright, as the next sunrise is on January 1st, 2025. There's some snow on the lamp, and "Merry Christmas" in my terrible handwriting (finger writing) scrawled at the bottom of the photo.

Just watching an old Antiques Roadshow where a woman brought in a painting she'd bought for Β£250 30 years prior. It was appraised on the show for Β£15,000.

She said that's lovely, but I haven't finished looking at it yet.

Do I ever love that thought.

It’s not very nice today. The wind is howling and it’s wet and grey. It’s the kind of day I want to hide under a blanket so here’s my first ever completed knitting project.. A rainbow hue shift Afghan blanket I knitted during lockdown for day 7 of #ArtAdventCalendar 😊🧢🌈❀️

Round 11 inch plate made of glass. Base is white. On top there is a dark blue round center and around it are progressively paler blue somewhat irregular concentric circles. The white base peeks through between circles. The last circle, closest to the edge, has streakes of white on top of it that may or may not remind you of clouds

a quote: Art is a light for me. The darkening days are hard on my mind & body. The seemingly darkening political times even more so. Seeing these works so generously shared helps so much to illuminate and warm those things that are still good. Art is hope.

Now a short thread for ART LOVERS.

You're going to see a lot (and I mean a -lot-) of art over the next 25 days.

In short, #artAdventCalendar is an online event where visual artists post their work daily until the 24th.

As someone posted a few years ago.
