Out of an abundance of caution my Department of Public Safety is recommending that people do not attend any political rallies today in Minnesota until the suspect is apprehended.

It should not be lost on anyone that Minnesota Rep Melissa Hortman, who was shot to death in her home last night by an assassin, was a gun safety advocate who worked tirelessly to protect her constituents from gun violence.

We understand. How awful for your state that this tragedy has happened. We will be there protesting for Minnesota as well as for Utah. Sending prayers to the families who are hurting right now. So horrible. Trump has had the rhetoric on high all week. He needs to stop.
