Totta, kohtuullinen kohtuullistaminen. Kaikkialla sijaan keskusta-alueet paremmin pyöräiltäväksi, siellähän sitä yhteiseloa eniten on. Uuden sijaan muutetaan vain kaistojen käyttötarkoituksia.

Onko ideoita, miltä oppiaineelta voisi allokoida tunteja laajempaan liikennekasvatukseen?

Mutta se on se vastaus siihen luvanvaraisuuteen: Toinen menopeli vie henkiä ihan eri mittakaavassa.

Tää on helppo: Pyöräiljät ei tapa sivullisia edes vuosittain, autoilijat sen sijaan tappaa sivullisia yli 100 vuodessa. Pyöräilyonnettomuuksissa kuolee vuodessa parikymmentä henkeä, niistä melkein puolet tappaa autoilija.

Tältä näyttää moderni sotatanner. Usein kertakäyttöisiksi jääviä drooneja ohjataan kilometrien mittaisilla optisilla kuiduilla, jotka jäävät sitten lentoreiteilleen.

Yes, nothing to prevent, but there still are standards that specify how cables must be secured and protected in different situations. You can find the standards without LLMs, but with LLMs it’s faster to identify the varitety of available parts compatible with the standard.

My prompting is more like "Tell me about norms, regulations and good practices that apply or might apply to X" etc.

It's kinda good thing to ask about every project.

And no professional would ever suggest out of the blue that "hey, why won't you do that part that anyone can do", because they (quite often correctly) assume that you want them to do everything.

Electricity is quite clear: Use professional.

But for instance when optimizing air ventilation in storage spaces LLM helped to realize that the level of air flow was well beyond norms so we can do something about it.

So when I hired an electrician, I already had a suggestion that I could A, B and C beforehand. He had some wishes and boom, we saved a few hundred euros and I did not do anything related to electricity.
The LLM part was that it gave me confidence to make suggestions and ask the right questions. 2/2

Yes! Quite often big part of some job is something anyone can do. For instance when we needed some new electrical cables, I used LLM to check what kind of protection the cables needed and estimate cost. Then I realized that I can install the casing pipes on the wall by myself. 1/2

It's not just LLM, it's also smartphones/computers and the internet. And at the end of the day, it's me who does the job.

I think the main thing compared to the old days: It's easier to fact check a LLM response by googling than it's was to figure out what to google and then fact check the google search results by… googling.

It suggested compatible power controllers for the fans and how to monitor the humidity. We ordered the installation and this winter we saw a clear drop in energy consumption compared to the previous winter month with comparable temperature profiles. 2/2

Inspired from that I gave a LLM the measurements of technical spaces and storage rooms plus the specifications of heating devices and air duct motors. It noted that some of the spaces are being over ventilated compared to norms. 1/2

Last year two duct fans broke down. ChatGPT helped me to diagnose: The other one had a bad capacitor (that I could replace myself) and for the other I got instructions for how to replace the motor to the point where an certified electrician does the rest. Compared to previous billings, we saved 60%.

Most renovations are the kind that are “easy” to do yourself, but making sure which materials to use and what regulations or other factors need to be taken into account is constant second-guessing. LLM makes it so much easier than just googling it.
